Sounds Like a Strange Question
Years ago, this question was asked in a teleclass I attended on building my business. And to my surprise, I started to cry. What was going on? This question really tapped into something buried deep.
Why this and why now?
The year 2009 is coming to an end and 2010 is closer than you think. As I thought about goals I had not reached, I had to ask myself “What am I afraid of?” The answer may surprise you.
So what was my answer? For my business, I was afraid of being alone. My wise husband reframed this for me. He told me, I was not alone; I was just out front making it possible for others to follow! My business took a huge jump.
For weight loss, my fear was that people would notice and listen to me. That is very strange for someone who wanted to help others. Marianne Williamson said, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”
If we don’t uncover our power, our results in 2010 will continue to suffer. We will hesitate to reach for our most ecstatic success. What healthy choice will the powerful you make today? Let me know.
